Set up a “Send a text message using your Twilio account” Workflow recipe

Send a text message based on your completed Form with the Twilio Workflow.

Twilio is a customer engagement platform you can integrate with GoFormz to automatically send text messages based on completed Forms using the "Send a text message using your Twilio account" Workflow recipe.

Access the Workflow Recipes Library in the Workflows tab of the GoFormz web app by clicking Create to begin.

  1. Select the Send Text Message with Twilio recipe.

    ​You'll navigate to the Workflow Editor.

  2. Click the pencil icon next to the default Workflow name.
    Enter a Workflow name.

    Note: Include the Template name used in the Workflow in your Workflow name.

  3. Establish your Form Completed trigger by configuring your Completed By and Template details.

    Click Next.

  4. Choose your configuration details for your Twilio connection to establish your Send Text Message action.

    These include Connection, Recipient and Sender Phone Numbers, and Message Body.

    1. Select the Twilio Connection you want to use for this Workflow.
      If necessary, click + Add Connection drop-down menu to add a new connection.

    2. Enter your Recipient Phone Number. This is the destination phone number for your SMS message.

      Note: The recipients phone number must be in E.164 format. If you're using a Workflow variable here, verify that it's collected in this format.

    3. The Sender Phone Number is the Sender ID or “From” phone number associated with your Twilio account.

      Note: Access and manage this number in your Twilio account.

    4. Enter a Message Body.

      This is the message your recipient receives. It has a 1600 character limit.

  5. Click the Activation slider if you want your Workflow active immediately.

  6. Click Save.
