Learn about the "Affix Row to Excel Table" Workflow action.

Updated over 10 months ago

With the Affix Row to Excel Table action, you’ll add data as a new row at the end of your existing Excel online table in OneDrive. This action doesn’t check to see if there’s a unique identifier to map to existing data.

For this action, you’ll configure your Connection, Destination Workbook, Destination Table, and map your Worksheet Column Names as necessary.

In the Connection drop-down menu you’ll find the connections available to you from OneDrive. If you'd like to add a new connection, scroll to the bottom of the menu and click + Add Connection, or navigate to the Connected Apps page.

Specify the path to the OneDrive Workbook which you want your Affix Row to Excel Table action to reference with the Destination Workbook.

Within this action, you'll need to reference your Destination Table. Your Destination Table is different than your Sheet name. If you don't have a table within your selected OneDrive Workbook, you'll need to create a table.

With your table, you’ll open the Table Design menu in Excel. Here, you’ll find a text box with your table name on the menu’s left-hand side.

This name is the Destination Table which you'll reference when setting up this Workflow.

Worksheet Column Mapping is where you’ll enter a column name from your Worksheet, and define the data which you want to use to populate that column.

Worksheet Column Name is the column to which your data will be mapped.

Your New Cell Value is the data which will populate your specified column. This can be a specific alphanumeric value, or you can use Workflow variables to populate the value with a specific field from your Template.

If you choose to enter an alphanumeric value, then this cell value will be the same on each Form generated during this Workflow. If you assign a Workflow variable, this cell value will change based on what your Form user enters.
