Pull text from an image using an existing picture from your mobile device’s camera roll, or using your device’s camera.
Your image and its information are completely in your control, and are only used with your direct input.
Access the Pull text from image feature in the Mobile Form Editor through either the Sparkle icon, or through an existing Image field.
Capture text contained within an image while you fill out a Form with the Pull text from image feature.
🗒️ Note: The Pull text from image feature is available for Team, Advanced, and Enterprise accounts.
Both the image and corresponding information captured maintain the high level of privacy and security maintained throughout your account. Your data remains your own, and is only used with your direct input.
When you fill out a Form on your mobile device, you’ll find the Pull text from image option in two places. . .
Pull text from your image via the Sparkle icon
At any time while you fill out a Form on your mobile device, you can use your device’s camera to capture text when you access Pull text from image through the Sparkle icon.
With the Form you want to fill out opened, complete the following steps. . .
Tap the Sparkle icon in the lower left-hand corner.
A menu will appear.
Tap “BETA - Pull text from image”.
Select whether you want to extract text from a new image with your Camera, or from an image in your Photo Library.
Your new picture - or selected image - will process automatically. You’ll automatically navigate to the next step.
Review the text pulled from your image.
Tap a line of text to edit. If you want to delete a line of text, select it and tap the text’s corresponding “X”.
When you’ve finished your edits, tap Continue.
To place a line of text, first tap the text, then tap the field into which you want to place the text.
Zoom in and out on your Form as necessary while you place fields using your device’s native magnification gestures.
Repeat as necessary.
When you’ve copied and pasted all necessary results, tap “X” in the menu’s upper right-hand corner.
Fill out the rest of your Form as necessary.
Once the process is complete, the captured text and image are deleted.
Alternatively, you can pull text from an image when you access an Image field.
Pull text from your image via an Image field
In addition to access through the Sparkle icon, you can pull the text from an image you’ve already added, or when you add a new image.
With the Form you want to fill out opened, complete the following steps. . .
Tap the Image field.
A menu will appear.
Tap “BETA - Pull text from image”.
Select whether you want to extract text from a new image with your Camera, or from an image in your Photo Library.
Your new picture - or selected image - will process automatically.
You’ll automatically navigate to the next step.
Review the text pulled from your image.
Tap a line of text to edit.
If you want to delete a line of text, select it and tap the text’s corresponding “X”.
When you’ve finished your edits, tap Continue.
To place a line of text, first tap the text, then tap the field into which you want to place the text.
Repeat as necessary.
When you’ve copied and pasted all necessary results, tap “X” in the menu’s upper right-hand corner.
The image from which you've extracted text will remain in the corresponding Image field.
Fill out the rest of your Form as necessary.
