Establish your Add Template Metadata action to map Form fields to a file in your Box account using a Box Metadata Template.
đď¸ Note: In a Workflow, the Add Template Metadata action should follow a Box Upload File action.
Your Add Template Metadata action requires that you establish your Connection, File ID, Box Metadata Template Name, and Box Metadata Template Attributes
In the Connection drop-down menu youâll find the connections available to you from your Box account. If you'd like to add a new connection, scroll to the bottom of the menu and click + Add Connection, or navigate to the Connected Apps page.
Your File ID references the file to which youâre adding your Template Metadata. How youâll interact with this steps depends on whether or not youâre using a Workflow recipe.
If you use a Workflow Recipe, then this field is pre-populated with outputs from your preceding Upload File action. If youâre not using a recipe, youâll need to manually select the File IDs output from the Upload File action in the Workflow.
Box Metadata Template Name refers to your Box accountâs metadata template. If youâd prefer to reference custom metadata, then youâll replace this Add Template Metadata action with an Add Custom Metadata action.
Your Box Metadata Template Attribute refers to the Attribute Name available to you in your Box account. The information you assign here determines how your Attribute Name will populate in Box. Use a specific alphanumeric value, or Workflow variables to populate the value with a specific field from your Template.
