Set up an "Autodesk Construction Cloud File Upload" Workflow recipe

Upload Form PDFs, images, and attachments to your Autodesk Construction Cloud as you receive them from Form Users with the Upload file to Autodesk Construction Cloud Workflow recipe.

To set up your Workflow, you'll need to tie at least one Template to your trigger, and then direct the desired files to a location in your Autodesk Construction Cloud account.

Upload files - including Form PDFs, images, and attachments - directly to your Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) account as you receive them when you set up the Upload file to Autodesk Construction Cloud Workflow recipe.

In the web app, navigate to the Workflows tab and click Create to open the Workflow Recipes Library. Here, select Upload file to Autodesk Construction Cloud Workflow recipe card.

You’ll navigate automatically to the Workflow Editor.

  1. Set up your trigger by assigning your Completed By, Template, and Form completion options.

    1. Select the appropriate user-based trigger using the Completed By drop-down menu.

      Your Completed By selection indicates the user or users for whom you want this action to apply. Options include Anyone, Specific User, or Group.

    2. Select the appropriate Template from the Template drop-down menu.

    3. Check the box next to Only run after initial form completion if you want this Workflow to trigger only for the first time a Form is completed.


      Click Next.

  2. Assign your PDF settings by selecting the pages to be exported, and naming your PDF.


    a. Select the Form pages you want exported to PDF.

    If you want to export all Form pages, leave this field blank.

    b. Click Advanced. Here you will assign your PDF a name in Filename.

    If you choose not to name your PDF, your PDF will adopt the name of the corresponding completed Form.

    Click Next.

  3. Set up your Upload File action.

    This will include establishing your Connection, Company, Project name, Document type, and Document path.

    Note: You will also see a File(s) option. Do not modify this field as it is automatically generated during the previous step.

    a. Select your Connection from the Connection drop-down menu.

    b. Choose your Company, Project Name, Document Type, and Destination Path using your preferred Workflow variable.

  4. Click the Activation slider if you want your Workflow active immediately.
    The Workflow Activation status will display as Active or Inactive.

  5. Click Save.
