The GoFormz-ServiceM8 Integration streamlines your Field Service operation's data capture and documentation.
Before you begin, you'll need to contact your GoFormz Account Manager to enable access to the ServiceM8 application on your account. They'll help you add your connection and set up your Workflow.
Add a new ServiceM8 connection
Before you begin, make sure that you have an existing Service M8 account and you know the credentials for the account.
🗒️ Note: If you add your connection using Safari, you may need to allow pop-ups from GoFormz to successfully add your connection.
Navigate to the GoFormz web app and complete the following steps:
Select Connected Apps from the More dropdown at the top of the GoFormz web app to navigate to the App Connections screen.
Click ServiceM8 App & Add Connection to bring up the ServiceM8 log-in window.
Select the Authentication Method as Default.
Enter your ServiceM8 credentials (username and password) and click Sign in.
This step is omitted if you are already logged into your ServiceM8 account. Please confirm that this is the appropriate account for your connection.
If you do not want it to be tied to your personal account, you may need to enter incognito mode. Note, any future password changes associated with this account will require you to re-authenticate.
Click Proceed on the screen displayed below.
Click Allow on the screen displayed below to complete the integration. This will allow GoFormz to integrate with your ServiceM8 account.
GoFormz will not manage any of your ServiceM8 settings.
Please note that whoever makes the connection of the application will be tied to the integration activity.
For example, on the Upload File step, it will show the person who connected the app as the uploader of the file.
We recommend creating a 'GoFormz Integration' account for your ServiceM8 account, if you don't want the activity tied to your personal ServiceM8.Your new connection will appear on your ServiceM8 Connections list with a generic name like “ServiceM8 Connections - 1”.
Rename your connection with a more descriptive name (e.g. including your ServiceM8 username in the connection name), especially if you plan to use multiple ServiceM8 connections.
