BIM 360 is a cloud-based storage service that connects a user to all their files.
The GoFormz-BIM 360 Connection uploads completed Form PDFs, images, and attachments to your BIM 360 account.
You'll manage your BIM 360 actions in the Workflows tab of the GoFormz web app.
Upload File
Upload File sends Forms or images submitted by your Form Users directly to your connected BIM 360 account.
Note: You must set up an Export Form to PDF or Get Form Images action before you can use the Upload File action.
Destination Path (required): This determines the BIM 360 folder where the PDF will be placed. If the folder you specify does not already exist, it will automatically be created for you. Workflow variables can be used in filling out this step. In the example below, the text “GoFormz/#{trigger.[customerName]}/#{trigger.[formName]}.pdf” contains the variables "#{trigger.[customerName]}" and “#{trigger.[formName]}”. The first refers to the form field containing the name of your customer, and the second refers to the name of the completed form. So, the completed form will be saved to a subfolder with the customer's name within the “GoFormz” folder in your BIM 360 account, and the PDF will bear the name of the completed form. See here for more on workflow variables and how to use them.
File List(required): Do not change this field! This field determines which PDF is uploaded to BIM 360 and is automatically set to be the PDF that is outputted by the Export Form to PDF step.
Configure your Connection, Company Name, Project Name, Document Type, Destination Path, and File List to set up the Upload File action.
Connection
Connection is a drop-down menu which lists your available BIM 360 connections. Your BIM 360 connections determine the options available to you here.
Click Manage Connected Accounts to add a new BIM 360 connection. If you add a connection here, you will remain on this page. You will set your connection without interrupting your action configuration.
Company Name
Company Name is the company your projects/plans are under.
Project Name
Your Project Name is the name of your Project from the Project Directory.
Document Type
Select if the Document Type should be uploaded as a Project file or as a Plans file.
Destination Path
Your Destination Path determines the BIM 360 folder where your received files are delivered.
Note: If your specified BIM 360 folder does not already exist, your Destination Path will automatically create a new folder.
Assign Workflow variables as your Destination Path to automatically save completed Forms to a subfolder named according to your specified variables.
Each trigger included in your Destination Path will create a nested subfolder within your GoFormz folder in BIM 360. Consider the following Destination Path:
Shared/GoFormz/#{trigger.Customer}/#{trigger.formName}.pdf
In this Destination Path:
#{trigger.Customer} references the Customer Name Form field.
#{trigger.formName} references the Completed Form Name Form field.
Find the Completed Forms related to this Destination Path in nested folders in your GoFormz BIM 360 folder. The nested folders will match the Customer and Completed Form Name.

Stevie's Construction (Customer Name) completes an Inspection Form (Completed Form Name). |
File(s)
File(s) references the associated action steps and your output.
When using a recipe, your File List is automatically defined. When building your own Workflow, you will select the File List using the File URL drop-down menu.
